Before you search
- Use the Master AWB for airline cargo. House AWBs from forwarders are not in airline systems — see Master vs House AWB.
- Check the number first. The free AWB validator catches typos with the mod-7 check digit and tells you which airline issued it.
- Keep leading zeros. Lufthansa Cargo is 020, not 20 — spreadsheets often strip the zero.
- Read the latest event carefully. “Arrived” at a hub is not delivery; the status codes guide explains each milestone.
